On October 14th at approximately 4:18 P.M. Prescott Valley Police and emergency personnel responded to S.R. 89A and Glassford Hill Road for a rollover injury collision.
A 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix, driven by a 16 year old Chino Valley man, was travelling westbound from the Glassford Hill on ramp to S.R. 89A. The vehicle veered off the roadway and after overcorrecting, the vehicle rolled. The sole occupant was ejected from the vehicle and came to rest in the median of S.R. 89A and his vehicle came to rest on S.R. 89A.
The youth was air lifted to Phoenix Children's Hospital with head trauma. He has since been listed in stable condition.
It is unknown what may have caused the driver to veer off the roadway. The investigation is ongoing.
Impairment is not suspected at this time.
