Dewey Man Arrested for Sexual Exploitation of a Minor-Police Seek Info

In June of 2016 the Prescott Police Department began an investigation involving 61 year old Dewey resident Brian Hoyle.  Police Detectives made contact with a concerned citizen who reported that Hoyle had showed him images of what appeared to be an underage female on his phone. The concerned citizen also reported that Hoyle had made comments about having video of a 12 year old girl having sex with an adult male.

The investigation revealed that Hoyle had been in contact via the internet with several people, including some who were underage, regarding opportunities for sexual encounters and exchanging lewd photographs and video.

In August of 2016, Prescott Police Detectives obtained a search warrant for Hoyle’s computer which revealed multiple images of girls who were determined to be under the age of 15, engaged in sexual acts by themselves and with men who appeared to be adults.

On September 14, 2016 a second search warrant was served at Hoyle’s residence in Dewey and he was taken into custody and booked into the Yavapai County Jail for 10 counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.

During the course of the investigation Hoyle was often seen in areas frequented by youth, with a parrot on his shoulder. The unusual animal would garner the attention of many and police detectives are interested in speaking with anyone who may have had unusual encounters with Hoyle or may have seen him interacting with youth. Detectives are especially concerned with identifying anyone who may have been victimized in this case. Those with information are encouraged to contact Detective John Hanna at the Prescott Police Department, (928)777-1961. Those who wish to remain anonymous and who want a cash reward must call Yavapai Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232.
